Mirka and I had previously only tried the Kyseľ ferrata, so we approached this one knowing it would be much more demanding – and we were definitely not disappointed.

Tips Before You Start

  • Start early in the morning – mainly to secure a parking spot, as there are very few on-site. Also it can be overcrowded.

  • Ferrata gear rental – available at Hotel Gothal in Liptovská Osada, 4 km from the ferrata. Everything is arranged at the reception for the Water World. Rental opens at 10:00 AM.

  • Adrenaline sports insurance – highly recommended to enjoy the adventure worry-free.
